About us

Our Inspiration

Founded in October 2021, The Akifa Foundation is a Non-Profit Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) that honours the memory of Akifa Bib, a pillar of strength and guidance within our community. Akifa Bibi was more than just a figure of maternal warmth; she was a cornerstone of support for many families in our community, particularly women and girls. A passionate home educator, Fluent in five languages and well-versed in religious principles, she dedicated herself to the empowerment of all around her. To children, she was a gentle guide, instilling values and wisdom. To adults, she was a steadfast supporter and adviser, empowering them to make positive changes in their lives.
Motivated by Akifa’s dedication, the Akifa Foundation aims to enrich our community by fostering opportunities for all its members—supporting women and girls in their unique challenges, while also nurturing the potential of every individual, regardless of age or gender. We believe in the strength of a community that values education, mutual support, and personal development.
Akifa Bibi’s legacy is a tapestry of education, empowerment, and community support. Each project and initiative at the Akifa Foundation is infused with her spirit of inclusivity and dedication. As we continue to grow and serve, we honour her memory by nurturing a community that can thrive together.
